I meant open the .env
file as in open it up in the editor, not as in reading its contents.

i cant find the extension
Do you have access to the store? You’d have to be in the beta.
How would you word the email?
“Yo wassup bro lemme have extensions beta on replit thx bro my username is @FlyingPig525 thx”
If I was writing a serious email:
Dear Mr. Bansal,
My name is [name]. I am interested in access to the Extensions Beta program on Replit. I would like to create extensions to improve user experience, like [an extension you want to make] or [another extension you want to make]. My Replit username is @FlyingPig525.
Thank you.
Also maybe list some of your previous work
I am writing this at 2 am btw. also I just filled out the form lol
that actually worked AND I DIDNT DO THE SERIOUS ONE
exit beta? not sure if you can on your own. You’d need to contact an admin ig
It was worth a try.
Nice. D’you know how we can install PikaWriter now, after extensions have been released to public?
Yup! I haven’t been able to publish it thought, I always get a 502 error from Extension Devtools. I’ll have to ask someone about that.
I used to get that as well but it works fine now.
I forked the repl and it worked
Pikawriter extension has been published!
https://replit.com/@PikachuB2005/Pikawriter-Extension?v=1#README.md
An updated tutorial:
- Open a repl
- Open extensions tab
- Scroll down and click View unverified Extensions (for now)
- Don’t see the button? Close the extension tab, run
__REPLIT_REDUX_STORE__.getState().user.userInfo.gating.find(flag => flag.controlName === 'flag-spooky-extensions').value = true;
in your devtools console, then open the tab again.
- Don’t see the button? Close the extension tab, run
- Find Pikawriter and click on it
- Click Activate Extension for your account
- Accept file reading permissions
- Click Open Extension
- Ask away
It can’t read files yet, but I’ll be getting to that soon.
