Agreed. This makes Teams for Education close to worthless. Arrrgh, I had just switched from Coding Rooms until they announced they’re stopping K-12 education. Does anyone have a recommendations for an education friendly, free online IDE?

This is a no reply and a let down of teachers. Students just retype what the AI gives them. point. Replit is dead in education. Bye!

Google Colab if you have Google Workspace for Education.
That was from 3 months ago. Staff have realized that free AI is causing a big problem for schools. They have stated it is on their roadmap now:
We’ve definitely heard the feedback here regarding being able to turn AI off at the team level — to that end we’ve added this feature request to our roadmap. We’ll update you here as we make progress.
As an interim solution, you can ask students to turn AI off at the bottom left of the editor by clicking on the AI button.

I just want to add to the noise. As a high school computer science teacher, I am frustrated with my youngest newest students being able to tab auto complete through a bunch of their assignments. I am now having to make adjustments on critical lessons to stray from Replit.

@RHSClark you can vote to take away AI on Teams for EDU.
AI code completion is an amazing tool, but it is not useful to have it always available in Educational teams. Students can’t learn to code if the computer always does it for them. Please, Replit, can you add a feature to teams for education to allow team owners to disable the AI completion tool centrally.
If AI code completion cannot be disabled centrally it will not be possible to ever use Replit for coding assessments, and it becomes increasingly difficult to use it for teaching. Being abl…

Because Teams for EDU is being deprecated this is no longer applicable.
