Why does the “Quote whole post” button exist? On these forums, @system automatically removes quotes from whole post (wow, that is confusing). So why does this button exist? Isn’t there a way to disable it? Or is it enabled for a specific reason?

To quote the whole post.

It only get removed if its the post directly above the one you are making. Plus there is a setting to disable that.

Oh, alright. Thought it removed every post that quoted a whole post.

If you are replying to a post from earlier, and want to quote short answers and piece them together, this button exists.
