What are cheers, when i click on my profile, it says that I have 26 cheers. This makes no sense, please help me. I’m new to this and it’s very confusing. Sorry for asking such a stupid question.
I must sound so stupid lol
Cheers are “points” that help your ranking in the leaderboard: https://ask.replit.com/leaderboard
points for what? coding, views?
views, activity, replies, likes, achievements, etc. (On this forum only, does not affect or is affected by main site)
okay, interesting, it seems usless. Doesn’t drag me into the game.
It’s just a way to feel competitive and compelled to help others as much as you can.
Well… I like being helpful and helping people, but I don’t get how cheers make you feel competivtive.
bruh i’m 250th and like 1000 away from reaching top 100
@JudeWon top 100 is only 343 cheers I believe. You do get a lot of cheers just reading a few dozen topics each day and posting quite a bit, solutions I believe give some cheers as well.
You don’t get cheers from reading afaik
Yeah they give a lot
I thought you did, element1010 also said that
Your a “Guidance Counselor” and you don’t know how cheers work? Thats super funny
Being a “Guidance Counselor” doesn’t have anything to do with Cheers. You unlock the Guidance Counseler title after having 10 of your posts marked as solution.
Yeah, GC is just a name tag, it’s not like he’s staff or anything.
okay, that’s so wierd how you earn these titles
Yeah they’re also kinda used to encourage you to participate more.
funny, participate more for what?
The forum. Just like cheers are used for. Like “oh wow i wanna get first and I also want to get cool title”. It’s like literally every video game.
