We no longer give our api keys for ask so you won’t be able to make a bot

Yes but we have stopped that. People that have keys will keep them but no new ones will be issued

Can’t users also generate their own keys? I found smth on discourse meta info abt it.

You don’t need API keys for Discourse bots.

Yes that’s how you use it through the web but it resets ever 10 minutes or so.
