I just wrapped up a frustrating semester where we had an inordinate number of problems with replit. Debugging Node.js projects never worked, and developing Express apps without that is awful; even basic websites were unresponsive waaay to much of the time; and there were a host of small glitches (like files reappearing after being deleted, or websites absolutely refusing to run, etc.).
In education, we are underpaid and overworked, and have better things to do with our time then act as tech support because a product isn’t release-level quality.
So, in short, while I’m sorta sad to see Teams for Edu go, this will force me to look elsewhere for solutions, and I’m looking forward to seeing what else is out there.
