I was taking a look at this topic:
And I found that if I clicked on where bigminiboss said that, it goes to mantanfromroblox’s post. Further posts suggests that the post was bigminiboss’s, but was changed to matanfromroblox’s. Why? How?
Discourse uses incremental IDs for comments and topics.
The order of comments (along with an imaginary ID) posted there was:
- bigminiboss (1)
- matanfromroblox (2)
- milocat (3)
bigminiboss deleted his message after Milo had responded, which you may think just leaves 2 and 3, however it seems to push all comment IDs back, making Matan’s comment #1 and Milo’s #2.
