Emacs keybinding in replit code editor

I’d love to be able to use emacs keybindings in the replit editor on Windows, but it doesn’t seem to work. In the “settings” panel there is a “Keybinds” pop-down with “emacs” as an option. But after I choose it I can cltr-a, and everything is selected, rather than moving the cursor to the beginning of the line. Same with ctrl-e, ctrl-n, ctrl-p, none of them behave like emacs. Help?

Hi @sspickle thanks for your message. I’ve never used the emacs keybinds in Replit before so had to investigate.

I have been able to replicate your issue and have reached out to Replit support for some advice. I’ll reply as soon as I hear back.
