Desktop App Protocol

Problem description:
The desktop app protocol isn’t registering

Expected behavior:
Should be registering

Actual behavior:
Isn’t registered. I did also have another protocol registered on my PC called “replit” but I did unregister that.

Steps to reproduce:

Bug appears at this link:
Desktop app

Browser: Firefox
OS: Windows 11
Device (Android, iOS, NA leave blank): PC
Desktop app version (Avatar menu->“Version”) or NA: Can’t view, unable to login
Plan (Free, Hacker, Pro Plan): Not sure

hey @bddy! Sorry you’re running into this. I’m not sure why this may be the case as we haven’t seen any issues with registering deeplinks like this yet.

I wonder if there may still be conflicts with the previous app you had installed that had the replit protocol registered. Maybe there is some caching on your machine that prevents it from being re-registered. I would look into how to properly clear that data on Windows. How did you unregister it previously? Did you uninstall the other app?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, but it was fixed. I just had to do some re-installing of the official app a few times then it somehow fixed.
