Desktop AI tab: File memory exceeded

Question:

I’m using the AI feature and added some JSON files that may be too large for the model? I’m in the basic version. Would updating to pro remove this warning and be able to analyze all the data within a file?

Thanks for the followup @ColinWinhall . Yes, we are planning to fix this, but I don’t have an ETA for you just yet. Until then, I know it’s not ideal and I agree the file is already a smaller size, but you can try to shorten the file or or use snippets/lines that convey or explain the issue. I’ll keep this thread updated as I hear back from the team.

You can set it to “Watching” so you will automatically receive notifications for it.

There is a possibility that there is a maximum file storage that the AI can read. The AI is working fine for me, so this may be the problem.

The AI, like any OpenAI model, will likely have a maximum number of tokens it can read and generate, as such, each file’s contents will take up some of the tokens the AI can generate, if it takes up too much, then it exceeds the memory constraints.
