Bring back comments, but add them to account storage

Describe your feature request
Bring back comments, but the comments would be saved to the Repl that was being commented on.
What problem(s) would this feature solve?
The community could still be able to provide feedback, but Replit wouldn’t have to use extra storage, as it would be saving to the owner’s Replit account.
Explain what you were trying to do when you came across the problem leading to this feature request
Finding a way to get feedback on my repls.

Storage is most definitely not the problem, so this solution is not what is needed.

What is the problem?

There is not really a problem. It’s just that Replit is shifting their cover pages to more code-oriented, and that is likely why comments were removed. Furthermore, they can make a project feel kiddish if there are comments from kids (not an “official” reason, but it makes sense).

The reason for that is replits updates I would say they will never bring comments back again

also a reason why there are no comments is they want to eliminate cyber bullying on Replit and to do that they thought the best idea is to make an update that gets rid of comments and most likely they will not bring it back

Probably not. There are other platforms that probably have to worry about it more (see here).

To elaborate further on this:

Which, in summary, means that:

  • Community was inactive
  • Too much spam
  • Which makes comments quite obsolete
  • So if you’re gonna redesign the cover page, then there aren’t many reasons to keep them.
