When imports are present, console will only run once. Then gets stuck on load

Bug description:
I am trying the following:

import sys

sys.exit()

 from ext import alphabet
from ext import logo

print(logo)
#etc...

Expected vs Current Behavior:
imports work as expected the first time I run my code. After the first though, the console gets stuck loading and will not proceed.

With just the import sys it does only that.

With both forms of imports, I either get stuck loading or the packager gets stuck in ← poetry lock – no update →

Steps to reproduce:

Try to run file with imports more than once.

Hi @aleeshawitte , welvome to the forums!
Can you go to the .replit file (3 dots on Files sidebar > Show Hidden Files > .replit) and add this line:

disableGuessImports = true

after the entrypoint line?
Hope this helps!
(It’s also a good idea to put all imports at the top of your .py file)
