We may be getting a plugin in the coming months that force people to do this. We will find out some time next week. So starting development would not be worth it.
I know @hugoondev wants to make a bot to translate posts but we may be getting a plugin for that also.

Spam and off topic stuff (10 comments in 30 sec = spam and new off topic flag)
that wouldent work. Rate limits would probably kick in and I could just suspend the account the key belonged to…

Okay, how about maybe a bot that prevents topics too similar to another topic from being made, there are way to many replit edu bug reports rn

A basic api for ask that has nothing potentially dangerous so no keys needed.

Rate limit is roughly > 5 topics per second (I know that because I open a lot, and I mean a lot, of posts at once…)

I meant that’s the title of the kind of post a bot can help with. The bot can give a canned rejection response when it sees those keywords. I’m cool though so I don’t need homework help

A bot that automatically answers/closes some very common questions

To add to that idea, the bot could also search and close dupes then and make these answers potentially in private messages.

We are currently working on a bot to detect and report to us bug reports and feature requests that may be duplicates. Once we finished that and we got it working well we may expand to all topics
