What are cheers? If you click on my profile I have 200 something cheers, and @not-ethan ethan for example has 2000+, what are cheers, what do they do, and how do you get them?
It’s for a plugin on discourse (a game system) thread is unclear in explaining how they are earned or what they are but it has @not-ethan in it:eyes:
EDIT: this is the game plugin but beware that plugins in discourse are kinda a headache as you have to actually run stuff in shell
EDIT 2: the post says
Users are awarded “cheers” by performing certain actions on the community. Each user cheer score appear on their user card, user profile and can be enabled on the user directory.
It notes you can earn it via:
- Daily visits
- Flags accepted
- Likes given
- Likes received
- Posts created
- Posts read
- Solutions accepted (requires Discourse Solved (Accepted answer plugin))
- Time read
- Topics created
- User invites accepted
@bigminiboss is correct as its a gameification plugin by discourse. But one thing to note is that we changed the value to almost all of the events (some higher some lower and some are worth 0 iirc) so that is not 100% accurate though it is very close.
And we also have a leaderboard
