Question:
Why does the WebView not show changes unless I open it in a new tab? I’ve seen other community members comment on this. It’s not a new issue. Is there a way to work around it in Ruby or with Replit settings? When things are going smoothly, it’s easy to forget to click the new tab icon, resulting in going back and undoing changes that actually worked.
This is just an issue with replit at the moment. I’ve tested on Safari, Firefox and Chrome and it’s all the same. It does occasionally show changes on Firefox so that’s the browser I use with replit and have had the best success with.
I suggest you make a bug report for this, but from my experiences replit is really bad about fixing stuff like this, they are too busy focusing on their next big thing then fixing quality of life changes such as these.
