Website deployment, persistent data?

I have a deployment where python script stores a data point is into a text file each day. Whenever I need to redeploy the repl, I lose the collected data. Is there a way to somehow keep the data that is collected by the deployed script? The replit db maybe?

Hi @goatmountain !
Deployments don’t have persistent file systems unfortunately. I don’t think Replit DB works either, so try using and external database like Google’s Firestore database to do this. I have used it and it can work with many languages.

You can also use Firebase RTDB (it’s JSON-based, while Firestore is a bit more reliable and document-based). I find RTDB easier because it’s JSON-based.
