We’re programmers. We do programming. Here we discuss programming and help each other with it. I’m not sure why you didn’t know that before joining but that’s the gist of it. We’re associated with Replit (an online IDE).

Maybe they replaced … with --? Usually signatures are represented with one dash, though it may be a regional thing.
