Currently, on my instance the unpublish button is only available deep inside the cover page’s 3 dotted menu. This is tedious.
Please consider it next to the cover page button:

Kind of a small improvement, but still helps a bit. But I think they put it there because you might accidentally unpublish it while clicking cover page.

QQ, why are you trying to unpublish?

I would guess it would be due to not having people see errors during debugging downtimes, but OP might have a diff. reason.
