I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the new UI that you have recently implemented. As a longtime user of your platform, I was shocked and dismayed by the changes that were made without any prior warning or consultation.
The new UI is clunky, unintuitive, and difficult to navigate. It has made using your platform a frustrating experience for me and many other users who rely on it for their coding needs.
If this change is not soon repealed, I will unfortunately be forced to leave Replit forever. I simply cannot continue using a service that does not listen to its users’ feedback or take into account their needs when making important decisions like this one.
I urge you to reconsider these changes before it’s too late. Your loyal users deserve better than what they are currently being offered with this new UI update.
I like absolutely none of the changes to the UI. The only things I like about the new UI are those few things that remain from the old one. I have zero positive feedback and 100% negative feedback. Some is personal preference but some is just hard to use.
I have compiled some of the major things from our protest:
The two big things are the side navigation is hidden (and when unhidden looks bad and when refreshed hides again) and that the comments are unusable.
So, I have never actually made any statement on this, but the thing that frustrates me the most is the fact that elements get uncentered, and the comments are really hard to read.
EDIT: I will add more later but I have stuff I need to do lol.
I don’t understand the frustration, maybe its because I don’t really use Replit to code like that. The UI is not that bad I don’t mind it all, to be honest I kinda prefer it over the old one (my opinion so don’t start crying).
You are entitled to your opinion and I’ve already thoroughly explained mine. If you like it, that’s just better anyway because I don’t think our chances of overturning this are very good.
