I would like the ability to turn off AI for my students in my Teams for Education classes
What problem(s) would this feature solve?
AI being used to solve problems for high school students, which takes away the challenge and the learning opportunity. They learn from struggling and working with classmates, not seeing how advanced programmers wrote code to do the same thing.
Explain what you were trying to do when you came across the problem leading to this feature request
I was trying to demonstrate code in a high school class where I had asked students to code along with me. We were learning to write our own module in Python. The AI just was there (not previously there) and completely botched up my lesson. By the next day, a student had submitted his assignment (module with 7 functions) that was completely generated by this AI. Lot’s of frustration on my part, I have spent so much time setting up projects and unit tests in Replit and don’t want to switch to a different IDE.
