Describe your feature request
Allow full usage of markdown in the Repl Chat
What problem(s) would this feature solve?

  1. Inconsistencies from comments and descriptions to the chat.
  2. Easier formatting in chat.

Explain what you were trying to do when you came across the problem leading to this feature request
Use markdown in the Chat for probably the 20th time, only to be reminded that not all markdown is supported in the chat (IE: `text` is fine, but ```multi-line text``` is not, among other things)

Great idea! This is great as there are some Markdown alternatives to the HTML tags that I normally use.
(Is this a Ask problem [1] or should this be on the Meta?)

This bug report wasn’t about Ask’s chat, though full HTML there would be nice too. :upside_down_face:
