Should we restructure getting help?

Should we restructure the categories about getting help? Currently we have Replit Help, Code Help and General for getting help with general programing concepts and practices. I think they should be merged together to it would be like this.

- Help
| - Replit Help
| - All code help sub cats
| - General Programming

Oh man, then my WIP guide would be useless.

Also should “General Programming” be in Help?

No it would be a new category though some topics could be mvoed.

Sounds good, the only thing I could think of that would be against it is, what’s the difference between ‘help’ and ‘support’. Could be a little confusing, but I don’t know that it’d be that big of an issue. :man_shrugging:

Very true. I would say we could rename Support to Replit-Support but then people think all support could be done there even though it cant. But posts cant be made at the top level so I think it would be fine

Replit-Support will probably remove any confusion, we can clarify about what support is available in a guide in that cat. Restructuring like this sounds good to me :+1:

Replit-Help would be within Help. I think structure wise that would be the best way to go, and then in a guide pinned to the top of each cat we describe exactly what that cat is for, to clarify.

That doesn’t change the fact that it could be confusing

People read those? I never read them

Replit support would be for getting help from the official support team and Replit Help is for getting help from the community

I think it should be like this

- #community-help
| - #replit-help (same as the current #help)
| - #code-help (same as current #code-help)
- #100doc

and tags for programming languages (can be used on Code Help n General)

but that’s just me
