I wanted to know the difference between myRepl--boston2029.repl.co and myRepl.boston2029.repl.co. I’ve been seeing the first one for a few months a couple times, but I’m not sure what the difference is. Is -- the new version of the {replID}.id.repl.co or whatever thing?
There isn’t really a difference, but new-ish accounts don’t get repl.username.repl.co and instead only get the first one.

Why? Is it the new domain so they don’t have to have so many double-subdomains (if you know what I mean)?
it’s while they fix internal issues experienced with SSL on . URLs (but looks like they’ve given up)
