Another request is for Replit to provide a variety of free and paid domains for users to use for their Replit sites, rather than just the basic {repl}.{user}.repl.co domain.

Hi @functionally you can already register any domain name you want (externally) and set it up to be used by your Repl.

And where is Replit supposed to get the money to do this? Domains cost money and it would probably be more expensive to host on a lot of different domains.

You might want to check out https://free-for.dev/#/?id=domain if you just want a free subdomain without the Replit branding.
Most of them do require you to submit a pull request on GitHub with your Repl CNAME etc…

Something important to note is that you don’t own Freenom domains if they are free. They can be taken away at any time.
It’s probably unlikely, but should definitely be remembered.
