Bug description:
Changes to my repl are not saving. The cloud icon flashes but never finishes saving, and file changes are not displayed in the Git menu in order to be committed. Refreshing the page instantly fixes the issue (repl saves immediately and file changed populate in git menu) but sometimes leads to git / github mismatches if the files weren’t saved correctly.
This is now occuring every time I use replit, and I’m having to constantly refresh the page when it’s time to make commits.
Expected vs Current Behavior:
Repl should save fairly quickly and modified files should populate in git menu when it’s time to commit.
Steps to reproduce:
Code in repl. Wait for repl to save. Try to commit.
Our engineers are working on a better git integration and a faster and more powerful repl container. These issues will be fixed in a few months when the features are launched.
This is a relatively new issues that I wasn’t experiencing before with previous repls. The “cloud” icon now only blinks without saving 100% of the time, and has started deleting components and other pieces of code. Is there a way to look into this further?
I haven’t experienced any internet flicker. Refreshing the browser seems to solve the issue quickly - the repl saves immediately. But the issue persists when editing the repl - its stuck in a saving pattern and never actually saves
I apologize for the delay on this. I was out last week.
If you wait maybe 10 minutes or so, does your Repl end up saving at all, or is it still stuck? Could you check your browser’s console for any errors or warnings?
