Replit Comment Classes

So I was bored and saw other users doing strange things with replit comments and tried it myself, wondering if it was a bug or not. (@not-ethan, @ShaneAtReplit) (also not in bug reports for the reason of not knowing if it was or not.)

Example:
<div class="css-ri4vrk"><span class="css-778qxr">strange.</span></div>

This is basically pre-built replit class CSS, you can utilize all of them (normally, IIRC, you can’t actually inject CSS so this is the only way)

Yeah, I know, but I’ve seen @RayhanADev get a little mad at others for doing this because you can use this method to hide dangerous links in plain text.

Lol don’t worry, our AutoModeration bot now hides comments with HTML from Community, so now nobody can use HTML in comments. Sucks but that’s what happens when people abuse things too much ¯\(ツ)/¯.

Are you sure about that my comments still go through and are seen.

Additionally, I recently sent a message using the same class and it still got through and was viewed by @MiloCat.

… very interesting… hmm

So that’s how people do it. I had no idea you could use HTML code in the comments like that.

Its built-in responsive CSS classes that function properly in comments.

This is where I found that happening.

@Sky Where do you find those CSS classes? Where is the stylesheet?

Actually, it’s fairly simple, but because I’m not trying to enrage Ray any further, I won’t reveal how.

sonicx180 does not like using the comments like that.

They all just copied me lol. I did it first >=)

True, but I’m not sure why people are so upset if the developers could just fix it if it was a serious issue.

They’ve already remove styling from comments (also my fault :trol:), I’m pretty sure they can remove classes if they wanted to.

Since is provokes conflict, I will avoid it. I wish to follow the rules and not get banned.

That doesn’t seem to be the case as several links to recent comments with HTML have been posted here. I tried it too and there was no bot after me. However, I’m not going to try it again as it seems to create conflict.

@bigminiboss Thanks for hiding the comments!
