Hi @millskadmin , welcome to the forums! Could you see if opening your student’s website in a new tab and see if it works?

We have tried opening it in a new tab and a new window and it still is not working. This was happening regularly for us over the past week.

Hi, can your student try entering kill 1 into the Shell? Or forking that repl?

Bug description:
I have a Teams project that is HTML/CSS/Js. Some students can preview using Webview, but others cannot and receive frowny face with message like “Server IP address could not be found” in the Webview window.

I noticed that the generated URL concat’s team name, project name, user name, etc. and URLs that are longer than 78-80 chars seem to be the ones that fail in Webview. Different user names are different lengths so some push the URL length over the edge (so it appears).

Workaround is to open a new tab.

Cannot rename to shorter project name as a workaround because renaming is a different known bug (renaming a project after students start it breaks student links).

Expected vs Current Behavior:
Webview should work for reasonably long project, team, and username combinations.

Steps to reproduce:
Try to open a Webview of an HTML project where the URL exceeds ~80 characters.

Thanks for sharing this @tburkat - the webview issue has definitely been reported before so I will link it with the other posts in that topic as soon as I find it again.

In the meantime I’ve pinged @ShaneAtReplit who might have an update to share regarding this.

Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing!

Problem description:
My replit no longer wants to connect and it keeps saying my connection isn’t secure, none of my links work, can you help me fix my websites? They stopped working from my side and it says that. I do not have access any more because It keeps saying the connection isn’t secure and it keeps closing the connection.

Expected behavior:
Before the bug, I expected to be able to access my site.

Actual behavior:
After the bug, I can not access my websites, not even the old ones.

Steps to reproduce:
None, possible client side error or a bug appearing.

Most of my websites.

Browser/OS/Device:
Any browser - Windows 11 - Laptop

I am getting the following error after login:

fork-this-javascript-course-by-clever-programmer--eugerald05.repl.co ’s server IP address could not be found.

I am in a coding camp through Capital One Coders, and only a couple of students have the ability to see their sites. Everyone else is in the dark currently, myself and the instructors included.

It is telling me this exactly. (website name) ’s server IP address could not be found.

I am having the same issue.

Update: repl.co hosting is back up. Please post if you are still having problems with hosting on repl.co
