Pupils in my class had initially set up their accounts without email addresses (Last year). They logged into their accounts using their usernames today and Replit created random email addresses which can’t be changed by the user.
Is there any other way to change an email address?

Welcome to Ask! I don’t think this is possible although I could be mistaken.
Replit’s new security system means that all accounts will now need to sign in with email addresses rather than username and password. This email was used internally as a placeholder and now is used due to these updates. They are currently resolving some “issues” with education accounts and the new email feature may be changed for them. In the meantime, you and your pupils can continue using your accounts like normal.
If the students were invited using the privacy mode option, then they get an anonymous account with random anonymous email address.
Since the intent is to protect the privacy of all students on this team, it doesn’t make much sense to select this option if you want them to have their own identifiable email addresses.
Instead, you could setup a team without this privacy mode option selected and have students setup their own Replit accounts using an email address of their choice. Hope it helps.
Thanks for the reply. That makes total sense now. I was initially confused because when I tried to set up a new team recently I couldn’t find the option for privacy mode like before, so my pupils had to use their email address (They’re are all over 13).
