Previously working deployment asks for shutdown, then fails to promote

I hit the Cancel button in the middle of deploying my app (it was previously deployed and working) and now I keep trying to Shutdown the failed deployment - it appears to work but then the new deployment fails when it tries to promote:

There’s nothing on the deployment:log tab, and the app/site works fine using the “Run” button.

Do you have any Secrets set in your development environment? If so, make sure those are set in the deployment as well.

Thanks, but I only have a few and I have them stored in the deployment.

Figured it was worth a check. Is there anything else that may have changed between the deployments?

All I did was modify a text string. I think it has something to do with “cancelling” a deployment while it was in process (usinge the “Cancel” button). It’s like it created a zombie deployment that the Shutdown button can’t kill.

Strange. I’m not sure how much more I can help here, so I’ve pinged the relevant staff to help you here.
