Output tab not working in pygame project

Question: Why is the output tab not working in my Pygame project?
Immediately after running the simple example of opening a window with pygame, the output tab loads for a few minutes and then the message ‘There was an error connecting to the server’ appears. I’ve seen this phenomenon itself many times, and I’ve tried pressing the ‘try again’ button as usual, but it just keeps loading forever and won’t connect.

Below is an example I ran.

import pygame

# pygame setup
pygame.init()
screen = pygame.display.set_mode((1280, 720))
clock = pygame.time.Clock()
running = True

while running:
    # poll for events
    # pygame.QUIT event means the user clicked
    for event in pygame.event.get():
        if event.type == pygame.QUIT:
            running = False

    # fill the screen with a color to wipe away anything from last frame
    screen.fill("purple")

    # RENDER YOUR GAME HERE

    # flip() the display to put your work on screen
    pygame.display.flip()

    clock.tick(60) # limits FPS to 60

pygame.quit()

if that happened, try to restart your router or reconnect to your network, it is either replit’s server or your internet not working properly, or too slow for the pygame to work.

Is this some type of limitation that applies to free members? I suspect it because it’s been about a month since I used replit for free.

Hi @cocoa0307221 !
This is a bug that has been appearing lately, you’re not the only one who is experiencing it.

When do you expect it to be fixed? Is there any way to fix this bug at least temporarily?

Try making a Pygame repl (not the Python one) and moving your code there.

I’m not a Replit Staff, just a community member helping out. I can’t give any info on this, but Replit Staff have said that a fix should be on the way.
