Nix killed: too much memory

Hi,

Everytime I try nix the process is killed because it use too much memory !
For instance:

nix search sdl2
Killed

It is the same when I try to install a package …
???

nix search sdl2

Nix search takes up more memory than a repl (non boosted) can provide. (I have come across this too)

For searches just use search.nixos.org

This shouldn’t happen, are you sure you are installing your package correctly?

i have my repls cpu always sky high along with memory but that doesnt crash it weird
