New Repl fails to open with same name as deleted Repl

Problem description:
Can’t open Repl named after a Recently Deleted Repl

Expected behavior:
Open newly created Repl and being working on fresh project

Actual behavior:
Opening the url for the new Repl kicks me back to Repl.it/

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create Repl with
  • Delete the Repl with
  • Create a new Repl, also with
  • Try to open the newly created Repl

I couldn’t figure out how to edit; the names in angled brackets got removed from “Steps to reproduce”

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create Repl with name
  • Delete the Repl with name
  • Create a new Repl, also with name
  • Try to open the newly created Repl

This is an issue with caching I believe. Thanks for pointing this out!

As a workaround, you can refresh the page, go to My Repls, and access your newly-created repl from there.

It sometimes takes awhile but it will eventually work.
