Is my project against replit tos

So I created pyusers, a python-based (obviously) library for multi-checking usernames across 7+ platforms. I’m curious if it’s against TOS because I included a replit feature.

Don’t quote me on this but I don’t belive its against TOS since you don’t have bad or malicious intent. But if somebody uses and does they can get in trouble but you won’t. But I would say wait until a site mod or Replit staff confirm

Hi @Sky and thanks for asking – cool project!

Our Terms of Service (clause 4(16)) do disallow database scraping to obtain lists of users. Moreover, we don’t officially support the use of our private GraphQL interface that is used by your project, which is subject to change at any time.

With that said, I notice that your code has another method to make the same query which doesn’t rely on a GraphQL call, and that your script is not performing actions in bulk. For that reason, this project gets a green light and we wouldn’t take action against you for using it in ways that comply with our TOS.

I hope that helps!

Yes, I added another method of checking usernames for that reason because I wasn’t sure if it was against Replits TOS, thank you for confirming this, and no, I won’t abuse it because I don’t need it. I’m just bored and making projects that a lot of people would like / enjoy, because it’s exciting to have a cool, og, rare, and sexy username to show off to others!

Anyway, thank you for confirming my ability to continue this amazing project. I do have another question: are there any mandatory requirements to being a mod other than being active and supportive? I don’t mind if I’m a mod on this or the main site; I just like being able to help and support others, and the mod opportunity will increase my chances of doing so!

Another good question – you can apply here to express your interest in becoming a mod.

I reviewed the google form you sent me, but I am unable to apply for a mod position because I am not 16 or older (I turned 14 in September).
