Introducing Data Transfer Limits on Replit: What You Need to Know

Relating to that, is purchased egress only for 1 month, or permanent?

There should be some form of roll over of the egress.

Yo, Stever4Space! Unused egress from previous months will not roll over to the following month.

Even the paid extra? That’s sad.

So if I pay for egrees then I end up not needing it I just loose that money?

Hmm they no longer use the term “egress”. I guess that’s good as nobody knew what that meant.

More info on this. Soon, you’ll be able to purchase additional Data Transfer in preset amounts. The preset amounts will likely start out at 10GB.

As long as you’re not bypassing firewalls or other control measures then you should be compliant with our ToS.

You can check out point 24 in our Terms of Service for more info:

To clarify here, not completely. Unused Data Transfer included in your plan does not roll over to the next month.

However, if you purchase additional Data Transfer, it will continue to roll over for 180 days. This additional Data Transfer only rolls over if it’s not used, it does not increase your monthly limit for 6 months.

So is this only limiting outbound data and not inbound? For example, I have a site where I can upload content which then displays on a site. Does this mean that only the displaying of the data would count towards this limit and not the uploading of the data?

Thats actually better than i thought it would be. I’m fine with the free egress not rolling in personally, just as long as the paid does, and the six months is really good.

ok, it makes sense. only paid traffic is rolled over

It would be a good idea to allow users to run 1 hour tests on their code to see how much EGRESS they use.

If I display images hosted from other websites does this count towards egress too?

Yes I noticed this and I was very happy that they added more

From what I have been doing no. If you are using HTML and use linf for the image it doesn’t count towards your egress. Otherwise my EGRESS would be a lot.

What is “linf”? I use <img>.
