how to debug a code in the editor?

Hi @marcdewaersegge , welcome to the forums!
You can use the in-built Debugger tool. Go to Tools > Debugger in the repl to access it.
Hope this helps!

In the debugger window I see a few arrows (run, next step, skip, nex breakpoint)
When I use these arrows notthing is happening.
I also expect to see my variables .
Do I have to open an other window?

Is there a document available about debugging in replit?

Yes, I’ve linked it above:

But there’s the link:
https://docs.replit.com/programming-ide/workspace-features/debugging#why-use-a-debugger

OK, thanks. It is really helpfull.
