I don’t have any experience with PHP, but here’s what I know:
The PHP Web Server template utilizes PHP version 8.2, so unless you need the CLI version for some reason, using the Web Server template should prevent you from having to do a bunch of annoying Nix configurations, which may not even work.
With my testing (and little experience with Nix in general), I couldn’t seem to get it to upgrade to a later Nix package for PHP without any errors.
