How do you get cycles and more importantly what can they be used for, and why are they called cycles why can’t they be called points or something?

Cycles the name comes from way back in ye olden time when you got “cycles” for likes (called upvotes) on your posts or when you helped someone with a question. I don’t know where the name came from exactly, but I believe it had something to do with REPL being an endless read eval print loop and the old replit logo which was an endless cycle of water flowing (or at least that’s what it looked like).
Now they are used as a currency on replit to boost your repls, hire bounty hunters to build stuff for you, make stuff private, always on etc…
You can buy cycles with real money or earn them by working on bounties for other people or getting tipped cycles when you make cool stuff and publish it on replit.
