Help replit. sudo

When installing ffmpeg, the connector gives
the

apt-get install ffmpeg link
E: The lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open could not be opened (13: Viewing denied)
E: The dpkg interface lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend) could not be connected, you are root?

I also suggested installing

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
You don't need sudo in Replit, all files that
can be modified already have the correct permissions
, and you can install new software using Nix.

E: Could not open the lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (13: Permission denied)
E: Could not get the dpkg interface lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), are you root?

Welcome to ask, @steamsteamfarm!

You can’t use sudo in Replit, as you are not a superuser (and there is no need for sudo anyway).

To install ffmpeg, show hidden files (from the … at the top left of the files section), open replit.nix and add pkgs.ffmpeg to the deps section.

Instead of installing using apt-get, use the System Dependencies tool to install any necessary system packages.
