Git after Deployment

So I pushed a deployed repl and numerous files were created in the github directory, which affected legibility.

My guess is some files were generated by the deployment process and captured by git. How do I re-configure git to ignore these files?

You might want to consider creating a .gitignore file with the pattern .*, which ignores all files starting with a dot.

Additionally after doing that, run git rm --cached .*, which will remove the existing files from git.
