My problem is that, extensions aren’t powerful enough. They can’t edit file permissions, create and delete files, or even run terminal commands!

That’s usually what a terminal is for. Why not use one?

Be patient. A shell API is in the works.

But there are also some libraries that can be used now while they add the official API.
