Problem description:
I get an error every time I toggle “Always On” for a repl. The error reads ‘Something went wrong toggling Always On’.
I am paying for Hacker, and it should come with 1 Always On repl. I checked to see if I had any other repls toggled with Always On and couldn’t find one. (However if that was the case, I would expect to see a message indicating that another repl is using the free slot, or something like that)
Expected behavior:
Turn “Always On” on and the repl stays on, always.
Actual behavior:
Get an error message.
Steps to reproduce:
Toggle “Always On” on repl.

Thanks for the response. As I mentioned, I checked to see if there are any others that are always on since I’m on Hacker and am aware that only 1 can be set to Always On at once, but couldn’t find one. I’ve just gone through every one of my other repls to confirm, and currently there isn’t a single repl that is set to “Always On”.
You just linked to another post where a non-official replit user suggested the info is in a FAQ somewhere. I looked in the documentation, and there is nothing there about Always On going away.
If they are in fact doing away with yet another feature from the Hacker plan, I’m afraid I’m done with replit. This would be two major changes to my plan since I signed up for Hacker last year, and it seems like a free-for-all.
I can understand why they want people to switch to deployments from a business/revenue standpoint, but this is counter to what I signed up for originally.
Is there any announcement that has gone out that warns about this?
The last time major changes were made, I got like 3 emails leading up to the modification date:
Hacker and Pro get autoscale and static deployments for free (to a limit). And I’m not 100% sure that its depricated. I heard someone say that and users not see the option for always on (like you)
Deployments will replace Always On but have not yet. It went missing from some Repls recently (I can’t remember which, might’ve been Pro) and Replit staff confirmed this was not supposed to happen and put the Always On toggle back. Yes Always On is going away but it has not gone away yet and I don’t think it will until Deployments are more established.
