ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

After changing my username, I started to get an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR. Will this resolve itself, or do I need to take action?

Hi @CalAmp! Welcome to the Replit Ask community!

This is again, a problem with the TLS cert, not the username changing.

This has been a problem with other websites and has been brought to light for a while (check https://status.replit.com/).

Your website cannot be accessed using https://, but can only be accessed via http:// because it cannot establish a secure connection. The culprit is your TLS certificate which may have expired in the past few days.

There have been multiple posts about this, but all I’d say for this case is to wait for it to be renewed. Your ask post clearly shows that it’s with the SSL protocol, so there is no need to create a new post.

Hope this helps, and cheers!

Thank you for your response. However, I believe that the issue I am experiencing is specifically related to the expired TLS certificate of replit.

When I attempt to access the website via https://t-by-t-open-final-1.calamp.repl.co/, I receive an error message related to the expired TLS certificate. I understand that replit has acknowledged this issue on their status page.
I appreciate your help and hope that the issue can be resolved soon. Please let me know if there is any additional information that you need from me to assist in resolving this matter.

Sure! I’ll let you know when/if your TLS certificate is renewed.

Hiya @CalAmp! Your TLS certificate has been renewed at 17:44:59 CST and will expire on 6 August 2023 at 17:44:58 CST! If any problems happen with your TLS again, feel free to create another ask post!

Cheers, and happy coding! :champagne:

Thank you for letting me know about the TLS certificate renewal, @CalAmp! It’s great to hear that the certificate has been successfully renewed and will be valid until August 6, 2023. I appreciate your prompt action in ensuring the security of our website or application. I will definitely keep your offer in mind if any problems arise with the TLS again. Happy coding to you too!
