Do you use the webview tab or open the website in a new tab?

  • I use the Replit webview tab
  • I open my website in a new tab
  • Wait, what’s webview?

Opening in a new tab is so much better

I open in a new tab for ~3 reasons:

  1. The webview is small
  2. My CSS does not like that small size
  3. The webview does not always reflect what my site actually looks like
  4. It is hard to test more advanced features (such as what a URL looks like, search bars, etc.) in that tiny little box

Reason #3 is the biggest one for me. I have had lots of trouble with that on some things.

Wdym? Yeah the size stays the same but I do a new tab to get a full feel for it.

@SnakeByte take a look at my MarkUpCSS Im trying to add light-mode and dark-mode, I can’t find a way, I think I have met my match. If you want to learn CSS, I might make a tutorial (maybe Teams for EDU, if enough people want it say 5-10 people I’ll make a CSS class).

That always happens to me, my website sizing and stuff looks perfect in the webview window until I open the website on a new tab, and then, well, it’s really ugly

Not very versatile but that would work.

That would make the don’t and text and stuff smaller and the ratio for the web view isn’t the same as the radio for normal devices so it would be impractical
