Do solutions from others count?

In some topics. TL4s, mods or admins sometimes mark my reply as a Solution even if they are not the OP. This is fine, but I wanted to ask, does this count as myself marking it as a Solution or is it otherwise as these people do it?

I was the person who marked your reply as solution. Mods / admins can do this if it clearly solves the issue but the OP hasn’t responded for a period of time.

Re the second post, you are correct that shouldn’t have happened. I’ve removed that solution.

Solutions from others should still count towards your stats.
