Do Repls that don't host a webserver/access the internet have any reason to be deployed?

Repls that don’t host a webserver/access the Internet have no reason to be deployed regardless, so that wouldn’t make sense.

How about Discord bots, which need to be on 24/7?

Wouldn’t that fall under

Probably. Guess I shouldn’t have said Discord bot, but that’s what I thought up at the moment. I meant anything that needs to be 24/7 in general.

I’m curious, what else (without using Internet) would fall under this?

Well, maybe webscrapers (but I guess that requires internet :person_facepalming:) and like servers that need to be on 24/7?

But what would those do without internet access? Calculate PI?

My main point here was that, say, console based games, never have and never will need to be 24/7 uptime, nor other similar programs. (They only need to be up when users interact)

Same question but irl XD

what about compute jobs? 24/7 data science analytics offline?

Logs seem to be finicky, and you can’t really get files off of a deployment, so I’m not sure that would work on Replit anyways.
