Common Misconceptions - let us know!

Hi Everyone,

We want to create a few, elite bits of merch for our educator community to coincide with our upcoming conference (details coming on Tuesday!) so - what common misconception would you like clarified on the front of a t-shirt?

Reply and let me know what you want - use the heart icon to vote on your favourites. I’ll start.

Thanks,

David

No, I don’t know how to hack.

Define then call

Not a misconception, but one from every parents’ evening:

“But they’re always on the computer at home.”

Just because I know how to code x does not mean I know how to code y.

Me: I know how to program.
Somebody, I know: Can you make a game?
Me: I’m I front end engineer, not a game developer.

  1. Beware of Programmer…
    They Code AI :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  2. Cpu != Gpu

coding != programming != computer science

It doesn’t just “not work for you”
It’s not a “glitch in Replit”
It’s not the browser.

And I second @MrAColley with WiFi != Internet

Depends on who you ask. Most people will say that thought.

I agree with @MrBrash
