Problem description:
On Firefox, using the colour picker doesn’t open Replit’s colour picker. It instead opens the Windows’ colour picker.
Expected behaviour:
Replit’s colour picker is opened.
Actual behaviour:
The Windows’ colour picker is opened.
Steps to reproduce:
Go to either a CSS file that has colours defined and click on the colour to open the colour picker or by clicking on the colour while editing the colours of a custom theme on Firefox.
Bug appears at this link:
N.A.
Browser/OS/Device:
Firefox 110.0 (64-bit), Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
I feel like this is a Firefox problem, not a Replit one. Evidently, Firefox is programmed to open the Windows color picker. Perhaps you could submit a feature request for Replit to override that feature? Not likely to happen but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
The color picker on the top is Chrome’s built-in color picker. Firefox does not have an built-in color picker and will use your OS’s color picker instead.
In that case, it would have been helpful if hankertrix had specified that this works in Chrome but not Firefox. Regardless, it seems that this is not a bug in Replit but just features in the browser and OS.
