Yeah, thereā€™s a lot to add when making a chess website.

  • promotion
  • check detection
  • checkmate detection
  • castling
  • etc

But these things are not simple to make.

Iā€™m not tryna be rude but your saying chess is easy and that you are a master of it, but you are suggesting that ā€œkilling the kingā€ is normal for chess.

I only did because one of our chess boards has it in the instructions. I used the instructions to learn of castling and en passant (I already knew everything else).

There is a few variants where you do eat the king but normal chess isnā€™t one of them.
