Can't install Desktop app on Debian

Problem description: I get this error message when I try to install the .deb file

Expected behavior: Install Replit Desktop App*

Actual behavior: Error while installing package: dpkg-deb --control subprocess returned error exit status 2*

Steps to reproduce: Download the .deb x86 file and then try to run and install it

Bug appears at this link: https://desktop.replit.com/download/deb*

Browser: N/A
OS: Debian
Device (Android, iOS, NA leave blank):
Desktop app version (Avatar menu->“Version”) or NA: 1.0.1
Plan (Free, Hacker, Pro Plan): Free

Welcome to Ask! That looks like Google Chrome to me. Are you attempting to install the Replit Desktop App on a Chromebook? While this may work it is not officially supported. Regardless, can you please elaborate on what you did to get this error?

Well, if installing it via Linux app support isn’t working, you can install the mobile app, try installing it via wine (Linux support for Windows apps), or just use the website.

Try using dpkg in the terminal to install the app
