Booogle 4 Is Out

There are more Google users than there are Replit users. Therefore, if you implement login via Google, then the site will have more users than with login via Replit.

It seems that Booogle is more advertised via Replit compared to anywhere else, based on what I’ve seen. So, it makes sense to stick with ReplitAuth instead of switching systems completely.

it says failed to connect :frowning:

false, unfortunately.

You are putting users trust into Replit, and there are some implicit problems:

  1. You are relying on Replit, which makes your users sitting ducks.
  2. Replit doesn’t have 2FA

It is. I’ve tested it; it’s just not a standard method of ā€œloggingā€ out. You can log out and log in using ReplitAuth. I’m just saying it’s a good option if you plan to keep the audience solely towards Replit users. If it’s planned to be widespread and more than a Replit audience, then yeah, switch to Google. But for now, I don’t see any issues.

That’s a pretty bold statement. I’d say Google provides a lot more security.
